Bring both textbooks (and your clickers!)
For the assigned Contexts readings, the following students should carefully read the appropriate chapter and answer the following three questions:
•Ch 18 (“do video games kill?”) - Avant through Jaeger
•Ch 34 (“learning from drag queens”) – Kastler through Otero
•Ch 62 (“fences and neighbors”) – Perlberg through Woodcome •
Questions:
1. What was the researcher’s question? (i.e. What did the research want to find out or understand better?)
2. How did the researcher try to find the answer? (what kind of study did she/he/they do?)
3. What do you learn about sociology from this article?
You will be discussing your article with other students who read different articles, so be prepared to talk about your answers.
